In 1952, gasoline was 20 cents a gallon, "Ozzie and Harriet" was the hit TV series, Harry Truman was the U.S. President and Joe and Ruth Gately were busy establishing Gately Communication Company as a family owned and operated full service communication company. The Gatelys' high degree of dedication, quality customer service and the ability of their seven children to maintain the parents' highest standards of business has grown the company from its original 11 customer base to a multi-regional enterprise.

The company has been successful in maintaining Joe Gately's original philosophy of "staying with the customer from the cradle to the grave, taking care of their communication needs and doing whatever necessary to provide excellent service." This is accomplished through five service locations offering continuous coverage of southeastern Virginia and eastern North Carolina. Our corporate office is located at 501 Industry Drive, Hampton, Virginia.

Gately Communication Company is a Motorola Service Center with the mission of providing courteous and professional services to a diversified customer base which includes the military, federal, state and local government, health-care facilities, industrial and commercial accounts. We provide system design, integration, sales, programming, optimization, installation, customer training, repair, rental equipment, and preventative maintenance programs.

	Gately Communication Company is a Certified Service Center. An approved CSC exhibits specific business practices designed to help promote a continuous strong emphasis on quality service and customer satisfaction. An approved CSC has undergone an extensive review of their management and customer service policies, dress code, adherence to federal and local regulations, insurance coverage and technician qualifications to assure that you the customer experience the best quality of service on your product that is available today.
